Extruder Temperature
Recommended: 200°C – 220°C. Use higher temperatures for improved layer adhesion and strength, especially on large or detailed prints.
Bed Temperature
Recommended: 50°C – 60°C. If adhesion issues occur, print the first two layers at 65°C, then reduce to 60°C.
Fan Control & Minimum Layer Time
Enable part cooling after the first layer. Set fan speed to 100% for sharp details. For very small parts, reduce print speed to allow adequate cooling.
Retraction
Retraction speed: 30–80 mm/s.
Retraction distance: 2–5 mm (Bowden), 1–2 mm (Direct Drive). Fine-tune to reduce stringing.
Build Plate Adhesion
PLA Plus generally adheres well but may benefit from glue stick, PEI sheet, or painter’s tape if corners lift.
Print Speed
Recommended speed: 40–60 mm/s for optimal surface quality and layer bonding.
Filament Drying & Storage
PLA Plus is hygroscopic. Store in a sealed container with desiccant. Dry at 60°C for 8–12 hours if moisture is present.
Unload Filament
When not in use, unload filament and store in an airtight container at 10–15% humidity.
Gluing
Bond printed parts using cyanoacrylate (superglue) or two-part epoxy.
